Autumn 2018 Issue 96
This issue of Design & Decor coincides with the start of autumn, which for some people is the decorating season.
We hope that this issue will ensure that you are equipped with the right information to be able to plan both large and small projects within the home.
Browsing through the magazine, you will come across a bungalow with a difference, built in 1975/1976 from plans drawn up by Italo Raniolo, who came from the stable of the prestigious firm of England and England – the foremost architectural company at the time. Anthony Bonello will take you on a walk-through inside this bungalow on page 44.
Stephanie Falzon writes about outside areas and open spaces, which provide the ideal place for entertainment due to the favourable Maltese weather, on page 82.
A very interesting article put together by Jim Dunn features his first encounter over 10 years ago with the amazingly bold and creative Jeanette and Klaus Throttrup, on page 86. The couple bought and worked feverishly on the refurbishment of an ancient, dilapidated and abandoned borgo in the stunning Tuscan hills in Italy.
Lighting specialist Olivia Ann Calleja unveils her latest project, a centrally located, semi-detached villa – a combination of comfort and minimalism – on page 30.
If you would like to read about a lush Victorian apartment showing off various historical pieces, from a credenza to a gorgeous mahogany wood dining table, then turn the pages to page 58.
Various recipes to ease you into autumn, by Liz Said, beautifully photographed by Nikki Arnett, can be found on page 112.
These are just a few articles we hope will be of interest to you. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or ideas you many have for the magazine.
We will be very happy to hear from you.
Happy reading.
